Technical Genres

Technical writing covers several genres, from memos to personal websites and blogs. This field requires flexibility, ease, and comfort with more than the written word. Most technical writers will find their own niche to work in, however, every technical writer must be proficient in each genre included in the position. While it may seem difficult to obtain all the knowledge necessary to cover all these genres, it is only a matter of building off previously obtained knowledge.
